User research

Desktop application designed to help small and medium-sized shop owners manage their inventory easily and efficiently. The project focused on simplifying inventory tasks such as product entry, stock tracking, and sales recording, especially for users with little technical experience. Through user research, interviews, and usability testing, we identified key pain points and created an intuitive, user-friendly interface that allows business owners to keep control of their stock in real time.

OVERVIEW

Owners of small to medium-sized businesses often lack the expertise to navigate highly complex inventory systems, complete with functionalities that are unfamiliar to them. Moreover, they may not have the budget for a dedicated person to handle this process entirely. Due to the informal nature of their businesses, many resort to manual paper-based inventory management. Unfortunately, this method fails to provide precise control over the products in their storage, exacerbating the challenge of maintaining an accurate account of their inventory.

WHAT WE FOUND

Lack of control over products entering stores, warehouses, sold, and remaining.

The seller lacks a clear and effective way to keep accounts transparent for the administrator.

There is no assurance that the product has been sold at the communicated value.
